Today I want to show you how to extract media like ingame music, videos, images and textures from many common games. It’s useful if you want to listen to the sound track of your favourite game even when you’re not playing.
Extracting the media should be legal as long as you own the original game!
Search your game in the game index, navigate to the path specified in your Windows Explorer, then use the application given to extract your music. Good Luck!
If you have any questions, or want more games to be added, please comment!

Age of Empires II:

Usage: Open your game’s *.rfa file with RAT, then click “Extract”.

Usage: Select your *.bik file with RAD Video, click “Convert a file”, in the converting window that follows you select what you want (either only video, only audio, or both), then click “Convert”.

Application: WinRAR [Download]
Usage: In WinRAR, click File -> Open Archive, then browse to your file’s directory and select “All Files” as filetype, otherwise WinRAR won’t show you the *.pk3/*.iwd file. Open your *.pk3/*.iwd file and extract the media the way you would usually extract *.rar archives with WinRAR

@gamerfreek:
Well, this depends on what game you’re trying to do this for. If you tell me the game, I can see whether it’s possible.
