Hey, see what I digged out a few days ago! Once upon a time I created a quite funny Counter-Strike 1.6 map, I think it was 2004 (I was 13 years old then…). It is, as the name suggests, a middleage-themed map, just two small rooms and two corridors, but the size is what makes it so funny.

Just extract the files from the archive and move them to your maps folder, probably C:\Program File\Counter Strike\cstrike\maps\. Then restart the game and launch the map!

Almost immediately after game start you can see your enemy and start shooting There is also the possibility to use grenades in a very effective way, throwing nearly directly into your enemy’s base. You can buy weapons and equipment as usually, but there are also kevlar and grenads lying around waiting to be picked up.

You can shoot holes in some walls to fall into your enemy’s back, camp on the ceiling or just storm straight forward. If you have nobody to play with, bots can be added (Zbots). The map features up to 14 players, but that will be a pure massacre =)

The lights should be torches or candles, but for some reasons the sprites didn’t want to become transparent at the borders, so I decided to leave them out. There are some quite childish images in the map, but just ignore them, and remember that I was just 13 when I created it.
