It worked, the directions were straight forward, I got my gigabyte board to boot into windows again, I have the new 990x chipset board which is is susposed to be able to handle the new FX series 8-core cpus

Are you sure your USB drive is not too big or too small? Use a memory stick (not a hard disk) with around 128-512MB, if it’s too large some mainboards won’t detect it.

This doesn’t work. I follow all of the steps above and whenever I get to the last bit of saving/loading BIOS files, it says there is no USB drive in. How can this be avoided?
